The Maryland Token and Medal Society is a club and scholarly organization devoted to the numismatic study of tokens, medals, and related objects from all cultures past and present originating from the State of Maryland.

It was formed by a group of collectors in Baltimore in 1979, at a time when token and medal enthusiasts decided it was necessary to establish an organization specifically dedicated to the study of Maryland exonumia.

Under the leadership of dynamic, resourceful, and generous officers, MD TAMS has grown to become the preeminent organization dedicated to Maryland exonumia.

The Society regularly meets and publishes the Maryland TAMS Journal. It supports research and education in exonumia, for the benefit of serious and novice collectors alike, professional numismatists, and interested hobbyists.
