The Danbury Coin Club was founded at 8:00 pm on Thursday October 24, 1957. Sixteen people responded to an advertisement in the Danbury News Times calling for an open meeting for anyone interested in forming a local coin club here in Danbury. The Club was eventually moved to Bethel, CT but retains its original name.
The Danbury Coin Club currently meets at the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, 36 South St, Bethel CT on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm January – November.
Meetings consist of a business agenda, show & tell, and exhibits followed by a coin/currency auction. Current membership fees are $10 per year for Regular Members, and $5 per year for Junior Members (age 8-17). Membership is required to participate in the raffles and auctions.
