1908-D Barber Quarter – Denver Mint – 90% Silver

Offered here is a 1908-D Barber Quarter, struck at the Denver Mint. Designed by U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Charles E. Barber, the Barber Quarter was produced from 1892 through 1916 and is a classic piece of American silver coinage.

The obverse features Liberty facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap and laurel wreath, surrounded by 13 stars with “IN GOD WE TRUST” above and the 1908 date below. The reverse displays the heraldic eagle with shield, olive branch and arrows, with the “D” mint mark identifying its Denver Mint origin.

This example has seen considerable circulation, showing even wear across Liberty and the eagle. The date, mint mark, major lettering, and principal design elements remain visible. The surfaces display natural gray coloration with darker toning and circulation marks consistent with its age and use.
