1907 & 1906 Liberty Head “V” Nickels – Two-Coin U.S. Lot

Offered here is a two-coin lot of classic Liberty Head “V” Nickels, featuring coins dated 1907 and 1906. These historic five-cent pieces were struck during the later years of the Liberty Head Nickel series and make an affordable addition to a U.S. type or date collection.

The obverse of each coin features Liberty facing left, wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by thirteen stars with the date below. The reverse displays the large Roman numeral “V” for five cents within a wreath, surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and CENTS.

• 75% Copper / 25% Nickel
• Designer: Charles E. Barber
• Circulated condition
• The coin shows considerable wear and surface marks, along with noticeable irregularity around portions of the rim. The date and major design elements remain visible.

1906 Liberty Head V Nickel

• Philadelphia Mint – No Mint Mark
• 75% Copper / 25% Nickel
• Designer: Charles E. Barber
• Circulated condition
• Displays substantial circulation wear with a clearly readable 1906 date and recognizable obverse and reverse designs.

Both coins have seen extensive circulation and exhibit wear, marks, discoloration and other surface characteristics consistent with their age and use. No numerical grade is being assigned, and bidders should carefully examine the photographs to determine condition. The 1907 Nickel has Post Mint Damage.
