With the right team, two years can make a difference. Alongside my fellow governors, President Tom Uram, and Vice President Mark Lighterman, we began strengthening the ANA’s brand and adding growth building strategies by taking advantage of the vast and diverse professional experiences and expertise of the board members. We enjoyed an excellent working atmosphere with Executive Director Kim Kiick and her outstanding staff.

President Uram asked me to serve on several ANA committees giving me an even greater insight on the inner workings of the association including opportunities for development.

Serving on the board and committees has been a tremendous pleasure. It is especially gratifying to participate in new initiatives and watch them take root and grow.

Last election cycle, I ran on a platform of aspirations, namely when it came to expanding the ANA's social media presence, brand awareness, and overall marketing structure. I am running again to continue these expansion strategies while developing new ones.

During this past two-year term, I spearheaded the campaign to add an additional staff member to the marketing department whose primary duties would be to focus on online social media marketing and YouTube optimization. With the supporting vote of the board, the position was created allowing these initiatives to take place.

With the promotion of Amanda Miller to Marketing and Communications Director, the hiring of Community Manager Liv Testa, and the expertise of Digital Marketing Director Pete Gentzler, we are already seeing a large increase in ANA YouTube video views, higher engagement on all of the social media platforms, and branding not just inside the numismatic community but throughout mainstream media.

Being involved in numismatics from the viewpoints of a collector, dealer, author, a member of numerous coin clubs and associations in the United States and internationally, and now NGC coin grader has afforded me a perspective few my age has had the pleasure to learn. I would not be in this position without the direct support of the ANA over the past 12 years. Consequently, I am deeply committed to dedicating my time and effort to our association that has greatly benefited me and many others.
