With the exceptions of May, August, and December, the Club meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the Luthern Church of The Good Shepherd, 1530 Foulk Road, in Wilmington. Meetings begin at 7:30 PM and end before 10:00 PM, usually by 9:30. Excluding the annual Show and Tell meeting in July, the highlight of each regular meeting is a program on some topic of numismatic interest, frequently presented by a nationally recognized expert.

In addition to the program, every meeting features exhibits from members' collections, a silent auction in which both members and visitors may bid, and a drawing for door prizes. The meeting agenda also includes two extended breaks, providing time for members to give and receive advice on collecting with fellow members.

Directions: From I-95 take the exit for Concord Pike / US 202 North(Exit 8). As you leave the exit ramp, regardless of the direction you were traveling on the interstate, remain in the far righthand lane. This lane will veer off to the right about a quarter of a mile past the merge with Concord Pike, putting you onto Foulk Road / 261 North. Go north on Foulk Road approximately 2.5 miles. The church will be on the right, about a quarter of a mile past Brandywine H.S., which is also on the right.

Membership Information

Dues are $10 per calendar year, with multi-year discounts available. Anyone desiring to join should attend a regular club meeting as a visitor and obtain a membership application. The application may be submitted at the same meeting, but club policy requires that all applications be considered by the board of directors, so final approval will be deferred to a subsequent meeting. The club also offers Junior memberships for those who are under the age of 18.

Library

The club maintains a growing reference library (currently more than 200 volumes) on coins, currency, and collecting. The library is divided into two collections, one public and the other private. The public collection , jointly supported with the New Castle County Library, is housed at the Brandywine Hundred Branch on Foulk Road. It features basic reference volumes and hobby publications, including "Coin World," the ANA magazine "Numismatist," and auction cataloges from Stacks and Bowers & Merena. The private collection features current price guides, including our subscription to the "Coin Dealer Newsletter," and new acquisitions being held for the use of club members before transfer to the public library. Although coverage is most complete for United States coins and tokens, the areas of paper money and world and ancient coinage are also well represented.

Please verify the show times and dates before attending the "Wilmington Coin Club of Delaware Meeting", as they are subject to change.
